Tenika McCorkle,DNP, APRN, FNP-BC
Dr. Tenika McCorkle is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner with a Doctorate in Nursing Practice. Dr. T received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Winston-Salem State University in 2007, Masters of Nursing from South University in 2017, and Doctor of Nursing Practice from Winston-Salem State University in 2022. She has over 17 years of clinical experience with specifically 6 years as a primary care provider. Dr. T has a diverse clinical background with working in Intensive Care, Bone Marrow Transplant Unit, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Home Health and primary care.
Dr. T has a passion for people and empowering patients with knowledge and resources to live more healthier lives. She has a published manuscript as the lead author in The Association of Black Nursing Faculty Foundation Journal, titled "Telemedicine with Phone Coaching on Diabetes Self-Care Practices in Rural Adults." The study showed an improvement in patient's diabetic levels and diabetic knowledge by providing more frequent follow up visits.
Dr. T is very family oriented. She has 3 children: Josiah, Arianna and Elias. She loves spending quality time with family and traveling.
